Ladies and gentlemen, it's officially NFL Draft season. This year's college crop is filled with talent, especially at the top of the board with top prospects, like South Carolina's Jadeveon Clowney, Louisville's Teddy Bridgewater, and even Texas A&M's Johnny Manziel.

As a direct result of all this talent, you can bet that there will be several teams looking to make draft day trades. These teams will want to trade up for any number of reasons. Maybe they think their top target will be gone before the time they pick, or maybe the team will be looking to add a player that can provide a spark to the team. Whatever the reasoning, draft day trading could certainly end up being one of the biggest storylines of the 2014 NFL Draft.

In recent years, players like Julio Jones, Dez Bryant and Robert Griffin III have all been acquired through draft day trades, showing just how much these trades have affected today's NFL landscape has been formed by these blockbuster draft day trades.

On the other end of the spectrum, some draft day trades don't quite work out as well as planned. Guys like Tim Tebow, Trent Richardson, and Blaine Gabbert jump to mind when thinking about draft day trades that didn't pan out. The St. Louis Rams have become notorious over the past few years for their aggressiveness on draft day. In the 2014 NFL Draft, St. Louis hold the second overall pick courtesy of the Washington Redskins, as well as the 13th overall pick, and you can bet they will be looking to cash in on one of those picks. Don't be surprised when the Rams trade down to gain even more future draft picks.
