Darren Sharper’s True Identity Exposed After Surprising Rape Charges
The smooth talking Darren Sharper, who was a regular on the NFL Network, has been exposed after being charged with two counts of rape by drugs, four counts of furnishing a controlled substance and one count of possession of a controlled substance.
The news comes to a shock to most, because Sharper has been one of the most beloved defensive backs in NFL history prior these events. The incident occurred in Los Angeles. It is said that Sharper used morphine and Ambien to subdue his victims. Sharper, 38, met the two women at a West Hollywood nightclub on Oct. 30, 2013 and invited them to a party before stopping at his hotel room. Reports say he gave a shot of alcohol to each woman before they passed out. One woman awakened and viewed Sharper as he proceeded to take advantage of the other victim.
Sharper was arrested on Jan. 17, 2014. He was later released on $200,000 bail. The shocking news has swirled around the internet, but no former teammates or anyone close to Sharper has made any comments. As in most high-profiled cases, we will most likely have to wait an extended period before anything makes sense to us as onlookers. It is clear that Sharper has been hiding his deeply troubling sexual desires for years as no one saw something so heinous coming from the veteran NFL player. Sharper was a six-time All-Pro while making it to the Pro Bowl on five different occasions. It’s too bad that no one will remember him for the greatness he displayed on the football field but rather for his actions late in 2013. If convicted in the state of California, he could face more than 30 years in prison.
