Richie Incognito-Mike Pouncey Texts Speak Volumes About Jonathan Martin Situation
“He’s dead to me.”
That’s what Mike Pouncey said about Jonathan Martin in a text Richie Incognito. It’s now all public information following the release of the Wells Report.
While the Miami Dolphins are somewhat reeling after the release of the independent report, the franchise also has to be relieved. The bullying fiasco that rocked South Beach is almost in the rearview mirror. But before we get there, we have to sort through all the juicy parts of the Wells Report. For that kind of material, look no further than page 133 and the texts back-and-forth from Pouncey to Incognito:
Incognito: F* Jmart That f—t is never (allowed) back
Pouncey: Bro I said the same thing I can’t even look at him the
same he’s a p—y
Incognito: My agent just asked if we held mandatory strip club meetings Jmart is f**g ratting on everyone
Pouncey: Lol wow are you serious he is a f* boy
Pouncey: He’s not welcome back bro I can’t be around that f**g guy
Incognito: F**k that guy if Ur not with (u)s Ur against us
Pouncey: No question bro he’s a coward for snitching
Incognito: Snitches get stitches Blood in blood out F**g guy
Pouncey: He’s dead to me
All you can say about that exchange is wow. At the same time, it really puts everything in perspective. As it turns out, it probably was a matter of Martin versus the rest of the offensive line. Wells found that Martin was the victim of harassment far beyond the ‘norms’ in an NFL locker room and that’s basically going to be the final word in this case.
So what’s next? More than likely, we’ll see Incognito and possibly Pouncey get hit with suspensions from the NFL.
