The NFL Combine was all the talk this past weekend in the world of football. The best prospects in the country headed to Indianapolis to show off their skills to teams across the league. The 40-yard dash is usually the event that gets the most publicity, because fans just seem to be drawn to the fast times. Everyone wants to know who ran the best ’40’.
Well, there’s one guy who didn’t run a fast 40 time. That guy would be the NFL Network’s Rich Eisen. The popular studio host has made a tradition of running the ’40’ at the Combine each year for the last 10 years. Until now, he’s never even broken the six-second mark. However, that all changed when Eisen was clocked at the blazing time of 5.98 this past weekend.
So if you’ve ever wondered how you would stack up against some of the fastest guys in football, now you have a good idea. Check out this clip from the NFL Network, which features the ever-popular simulcam:

To sum that video up in one word — wow. Eisen is S-L-O-W. However, most of us would look exactly the same if we were put on simulcam against the likes of Jadeveon Clowney and Dri Archer. I commended Eisen for putting himself out there for all these years. I’m happy for him that he finally broke the six-second mark.
