The Kansas City Chiefs have a tough road ahead in free agency. With little salary cap room, several players will need to look for a new job. Here are five Kansas City Chiefs who need to be kicked to the curb before free agency.
Brandon Albert has only played one full season since 2008, and the Chiefs do not need to keep this injury-prone tackle.
Kyle Williams only had 10 receptions in 2013 and has a long injury history. If he can't stay on the field and make an impact, the Chiefs need to cut him.
The Atlanta Falcons are apparently very interested in Jon Asamoah, and it would be best for the Chiefs to let him leave. Asamoah was another player who was unable to complete a full season in 2013.
Between 2012 to 2013, Kendrick Lewis only has one interception for the Chiefs. The team needs to have playmakers on defense, and Lewis is not a playmaker.
Even though he is talented, it can be hard to find a spot for Dexter McCluster on an offense. He has speed and athleticism, but his talent requires specific circumstances to be used properly.
