The Baltimore Ravens didn’t have the best offensive year in 2013, ranking 30th in the league in rushing yards per game behind the now-infamous Ray Rice and 18th in the league in passing yards per game behind former Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco. However, re-signing Jacoby Jones was a solid move toward improving the pass game — and so would adding Julian Edelman.
It has been rumored that the New England Patriots are still negotiating with their top receiver from a year ago, but they might lose out to a higher-paying suitor. It seems like the Edelman to the Ravens rumors are beginning to heat up as the team has reported major interest in the 27-year-old wide out.
Ravens remain quite interested in WR Julian Edelman. Pats want him back too. Other teams in the mix

Adding Edelman would do nothing but help this team looking for a solid first-down type of receiver and slot receiver that the Ravens would desperately need to upgrade their otherwise slacking offense.
With no true slot receiver on the team that can contribute, Edelman’s 105 catches would be quite welcome in Baltimore and it could be the help that Flacco desperately needs in the passing game. Heck, Flacco didn’t have a reliable receiver outside of Torrey Smith in 2013 and the Super Bowl winning QB hasn’t been fully comfortable with the pass game since Anquan Boldin left.
Edelman caught 105 passes for 1,056 yards and six touchdowns last season. Albeit, Flacco isn’t the same caliber of quarterback as Tom Brady is, he will flourish under an offense that’s looking for an identity.
