The Detroit Lions are a tough team to figure out. They have talented players, but they always seem to find a way to lose games they have no business losing. Detroit will attempt to fix that under new head coach Jim Caldwell. They signed Golden Tate in free agency adding to an already potent offense. Next up for the Lions is the NFL draft where they will have the 10th overall pick. Here are five scenarios for what they might do in round one.

5. Draft Calvin Pryor

Some might say No.10 may be too high to take Calvin Pryor, but nobody can deny the Lions need help in the secondary. Pryor will be there at 10 and it will be up to them to decide if they want to take him there.

4. Draft Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

The other top safety in the draft is Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Again, Detroit might not want to use the 10th overall pick on him, but he would improve their secondary and he will be available.

3. Draft Anthony Barr

It is not just the secondary that needs improvement in Detroit, the Lions also need an upgrade at LB. Anthony Barr is a guy who would be an instant starter for the Lions, and he is a tackling machine.

2. Draft Darqueze Dennard

Detroit would love to draft a CB. It is probably its biggest need. Darqueze Dennard is the second best CB in this draft. He played at Michigan State, so it is likely the Lions are very familiar with his game.

1. Draft Justin Gilbert

Justin Gilbert is the No. 1 CB in this draft and I believe he is the player Detroit wants the most. If Gilbert is there when the Lions go on the clock, I expect they will run, not walk to the podium to get him.
