Tennessee Titans’ Updated First Round Scenarios

The Tennessee Titans went 7-9 in 2013 and will be looking to improve in 2014. That process has already begun. They added six free agents and now they look ahead to the NFL Draft in May. Tennessee will have the 11th overall pick in the first round. Here are five scenarios that could play out in the first round for the Titans.

5. Draft Jake Matthews

Tennessee could use an upgrade on the offensive line and Matthews would be a great fit. I do not expect Matthews to make it to No.11, but there is a lot of uncertainty surrounding this draft so you never know. If Matthews fell, I believe Tennessee would have to consider him.

4. Draft Darqueze Dennard

Tennessee needs to find some secondary help and Darqueze Dennard would be a great fit. I believe there is a great chance he will be there when the Titans go on the clock.

3. Draft Justin Gilbert

Gilbert is the best CB in this year’s draft and Tennessee would love to get him. The problem is, I do not think Gilbert will be there when Tennessee picks, and I am not sure they would be willing to trade up to get him.

2. Draft Khalil Mack

Khalil Mack is the No. 1 LB and Tennessee will be looking to find one in this draft. Mack has been rumored to be drafted anywhere from No. 1overall to No. 12 overall. If he is there at 11, I believe Tennessee would take him.

1. Draft Anthony Barr

I believe the most likely scenario is that Tennessee will draft Anthony Barr. He is the second best LB in this draft and I expect him to be available when Tennessee picks.
