5 Popular NFL Players Who Are About To Get Traded

NFL Trade Rumors
USA Today Sports

With free agency now in the rearview mirror, most teams are turning their attention to the NFL draft. However, there are still a few deals to be made on the trade market. We surely haven't seen the last of big name players changing teams this offseason. But who else could be on the move? Here's a list of five players who could be traded any day now:

Danny Amendola

Rumors have been swirling for awhile now that the Patriots are shopping Amendola. His first year in New England wasn't anything to brag about, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him get dealt. He could be traded for another guy you'll see later on this list, but that will likely depend on whether or not Julian Edelman re-signs in New England.

I suppose it's not out of the question for Schaub to stay in Houston next season, but the most likely scenario is that he gets traded. The Raiders have been rumored to have interest in him for awhile now, and if they don't sign Michael Vick, Schaub to Oakland makes sense.

DeSean Jackson

Is there room for Jackson in Philly anymore? It's beginning to seem like there's not. If Philly can land a fairly high draft pick for him, there's nothing wrong with sending him packing. It's just hard to see the relationship between the two sides ever being the same after these recent trade rumors.

Christian Ponder

The Vikings originally planned to hold on to Ponder, but now rumors have emerged that he could be on the move. Blaine Gabbert just warranted a sixth-round pick, so you'd have to think the Vikings would listen if a similar offer was made to them. Cleveland has emerged as a potential landing spot for the former No. 12 pick.

CJ2k has reportedly been on the block for awhile now. There's a reason for that -- he's way overpaid. I just don't see a deal getting done unless he agrees to a significant reduction in salary. But if he's willing to play for less, he might be able to land in a good spot for the final few years of his career.

Michael Oher Moonwalks Trying to Block DeMarcus Ware

The Super Bowl's been over for three days now but we're still picking out some sweet nuggets from Sunday's proceedings. The most recent example came in the form of a previously overlooked attempt at blocking Denver Broncos defensive end DeMarcus Ware. Carolina Panthers tackle Michael Oher tried to hold his ground against Ware's rush but the ground is exactly what betrayed Oher and gave way. The result? A mid-game moonwalk.
