New head coach Mike Pettine enters an interesting situation with the Cleveland Browns. He has a talented roster to work with, but if the past is any indication, he must win right away, or risk losing his job. The Browns have been active so far in free agency, adding LB Karlos Dansby, S Donte Whitner and RB Ben Tate, among others.

Cleveland still has cap space and position needs to make more noise in free agency. Who should they target?

5. WR Miles Austin

Josh Gordon established himself as one of the most talented players at the WR position in the NFL. But besides Gordon, the Browns have nothing at the position. Miles Austin may not be as talented as he once was, but he would be a great veteran presence for Gordon and the rest of the team. He is also a versatile WR who could help them on the outside and in the slot.

Jason Avant is another WR for the Browns to consider opposite of Gordon. He does not have very good speed, but Avant is an underrated athlete and has some of the best hands in the NFL. Avant would be a nice possession receiver for the Browns.

3. LB Arthur Moats

The Browns need to find another middle linebacker to start next to Dansby in their 3-4 defense. They could always add one in the draft, but Arthur Moats is the best MLB remaining in free agency and seems to be a great fit. Pettine was his defensive coordinator with the Buffalo Bills last season, so the familiarity with the system is there.

2. FS Chris Clemons

Chris Clemons is one of the best free agents remaining, and the Browns could certainly use an upgrade at the free safety position. The Browns' defense was good last season, but Clemons is a fantastic option as the last line of defense in the secondary.

The Browns simply must find a way to make sure Alex Mack returns. He is the best center in the NFL, and a huge part of the Browns' offense. They currently have the transition tag placed on him, which means that they can match any offer made to Mack. Almost regardless of price, the Browns need to bring Mack back in the fold.
