Free agency signings are a constant thing in the NFL. But for the most part, the 2014 free agency period is behind us. Nearly all the big name players have inked new contracts and we now have a much better idea of what rosters will look like in the upcoming season.

So with the big free agency surge in the rearview mirror, it's time to take a look at this year's big winners. Here are the top 10 teams:

The Jets made some really nice moves in free agency. First and foremost, they finally dumped Mark Sanchez. They also brought in Michael Vick and Eric Decker to help make their offense more dynamic. Now if the Jets can pull off a trade for DeSean Jackson, they'll be in business heading into the draft.

There's a lot to be said for locking up a top-tier left tackle. That's exactly what the Ravens did by re-signing Eugene Monroe. On top of that, they went out and signed a proven playmaker in Steve Smith. These two signings will greatly help the Baltimore offense in 2014.

8. Cleveland Browns

The Browns made some pretty serious noise during this free agency period. They finally have a starting RB after inking Ben Tate, and they also continued to build their already strong defense with the additions of Donte Whitner of Karlos Dansby. However, big questions at QB still remain.

The best way I've heard the Jaguars free agency signings described is that they didn't hit a home run, but that they did hit a bunch of singles. Toby Gerhart is now the team's feature back, while Zane Beadles will provide an upgrade on the offensive line. In addition, the team also inked Chris Clemons, Red Bryant, Jason Babin, Tandon Doss, Dekoda Watson and Will Blackmon.

The G-Men suffered a few losses in free agency, but overall, they made out well. Rashad Jennings was inked to bolster the backfield, while Geoff Schwartz was added to do the same to the OL. CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie ended up being the team's big acquisition, while KR Trindon Holilday, WR Mario Manningham and LB Jameel McLain round out their list of notable additions.

The Raiders have been busy over the last couple of weeks. This team had plenty of cap room to work with and it's showing. Veterans LaMarr Woodley, Justin Tuck and Antonio Smith were added to bolster the defense, while Charles Woodson was also re-signed. On the offensive side of the ball, the Raiders wisely signed WR James Jones and added LT Donald Penn.

The Vikings quietly had one of the better free agency signing periods. After lots of defensive struggles in 2013, fans can already see Mike Zimmer's fingerprints on the 2014 team. DT Linval Joseph, DE Corey Wootton and CB Captain Munnerlyn all have new homes in Minnesota, while Everson Griffen, Matt Cassel, Jerome Simpson and Marcus Scherels were all re-signed to new deals.

The Cardinals were just on the outside of the playoff picture in 2013. But now with the signings of OT Jared Veldheer, CB Antonio Cromartie and WR Ted Ginn Jr., things are looking up for 2014. Velheer is huge for a team with troubles along the OL, while the addition of Cromartie will give Arizona one of the best secondaries in football.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Lovie Smith era is off to a great start in Tampa. Darrelle Revis is gone, but the Bucs replaced him and then some. Star DE Michael Johnson, CB Alterraun Verner, OT Anthony Collins and DT Clinton McDonald are all taking their talents to Tampa. On top of everything else, the Bucs now have a new signal-caller in the form of former Bears QB Josh McCown.

If there's such a thing as winning NFL free agency, the Denver Broncos did it in 2014. Pro Bowl defenders DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and T.J. Ward are all headed to the Mile High City. For a team that needed a significant upgrade on defense, these signings were just the ticket. Also, don't forget about the addition of Emmanuel Sanders to the already potent Denver offense.
