Although free agency has died down since March 11, there are still quite a few players on the market who can make an impact for the Miami Dolphins. Some would be great for depth while others would have a chance to come in and compete for the starting job. Here are the top five players the Dolphins should sign.

Marlon Moore played for the Dolphins last year and he should be brought back. He knows the team and the coaching staff, and he did a solid job when he played in various spots throughout the season. He is also a big asset to special teams.

Joshua Cribbs has had quite a few injuries over the past several years, but there is no denying that when the ball is in his hands, he is a threat. He would be an immediate upgrade over Tyler Thigpen in the punt return and kickoff return part of the game.

3. Eben Britton

Eben Britton isn't a name that you may recognize, but he can play just about every spot on the offensive line. The Dolphins already have a player like that in Nate Garner, but it definitely doesn't hurt to have two of them. Britton would be a solid signing to fill depth anywhere on the offensive line.

2. Travelle Wharton

Travelle Wharton is nearing the end of his career, but he can be a solid stopgap at the guard position. If the Dolphins were to sign him and put him at RG, they could draft a guard in the middle rounds of the draft and let him develop under Wharton. There is rumored interest between Wharton and the Dolphins.

1. Maurice Jones-Drew

Maurice Jones-Drew would be an immediate upgrade over all of the running backs currently on the roster. The question though is whether or not the Dolphins think Lamar Miller can have a breakout season. If they do, then signing Jones-Drew might be counterproductive. If they don't, Jones-Drew makes way too much sense not to sign.
