The Seattle Seahawks have not done a lot in free agency so far. While most of the big names have signed with their new teams, there are still a few “difference-makers” left. There are also some under the radar players that could help Seattle get back to the Super Bowl. With that in mind, here are five free agents still available that Seattle should consider signing.
Sidney Rice left Seattle to test the free agent market, but he has yet to sign. With Seattle losing Golden Tate this offseason, it might make some sense for them to try to bring Rice back.
Seattle needs to get a DT and the best one left out there is Pat Sims. He is only 28 years old and still has room to improve. He has never put up huge numbers, but he has also never been surrounded by much talent. That would change if he were to sign in Seattle.
Another WR Seattle could look at is Miles Austin. The former Dallas Cowboy was released due to his high salary cap number. Austin is injury-prone, but he can make plays when he is healthy. For the right price he would be a nice addition for the Seahawks.
Seattle’s offense could use a good pass catching TE, and I believe Jermichael Finely would be that guy. Finley would give Russell Wilson a huge red zone target.
Seattle has been hot after Jared Allen for a couple of weeks, and he is expected to make a decision soon. Allen in Seattle makes a lot of sense for both parties, and I expect it to happen. He would give the Seahawks another weapon on an already stout defensive unit.
