2014 NFL Draft: 5 Players Dallas Cowboys Should Target with 16th Pick

The Dallas Cowboys are preparing for the NFL Draft, and they have quite a few holes to fill. When you have numerous holes to fill, it allows you to simply take the best overall player. When Dallas goes on the clock with the 16th pick in the NFL draft, there should be plenty of quality players to choose from.

Here are five players that Dallas should be targeting.

Linebacker is not the most pressing need for Dallas, but it is about getting the best overall player. C.J. Mosley is a stud LB, and if he is the highest ranked player on Dallas’ board when they go on the clock, then they should not hesitate to take him.

4. Ha Ha Clinton-Dix

Safety is a position of need for the Cowboys, and Clinton-Dix is one of the top safeties available. He would be a great fit with Dallas and instantly upgrade a secondary that was horrible last season.

3. Calvin Pryor

I have Calvin Pryor ranked a little above Clinton-Dix when it comes to safeties in this draft. Both would be great fits, but if Dallas has their choice, I think they should choose Pryor.

2. Timmy Jernigan

Dallas signed DT Henry Melton in free agency, but their defensive line is far from set. Timmy Jernigan would be a great pick because he is great against the run and he can put pressure on the QB.

The player who fits the best with the Cowboys' defense is Aaron Donald. If he is available, I don’t think Dallas will waste any time at all making their pick. The only question is, will he be available?
