The Kansas City Chiefs had a tough free agency period. They really did not add any significant players, and they lost a few starters. Despite not getting much done in free agency, there is still time to improve before the season begins. The best chance for that to happen is in the NFL Draft. Kansas City will have the 23rd pick in the draft, and here are five players they should target with their first pick.

Kansas City could look to make their defense stronger by selecting safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix. Clinton-Dix would be a good fit alongside Eric Berry, causing problems for opposing offenses.

Kansas City could also go linebacker in the first round by selecting C.J. Mosley. Mosley would be a great addition to an already stout linebacker group.

The Chief’s biggest need is WR, and one possible selection could be Marquise Lee. Lee is great pass-catcher and could cause problems for defenses, especially in the red zone.

Odell Beckham is more of a speed WR, which could possibly stretch the field for the Chiefs. He could also return kicks for the Chiefs.

If Kansas City wants the best red zone target in the draft, they should go with Kelvin Benjamin. The 6-foot-5 wide receiver out of Florida State is virtually impossible to defend in the red zone.
