If the Arizona Cardinals are going to make the playoffs out of the NFC West in the near future, they're going to need to add as many impact players to their roster as possible beginning with the 2014 NFL Draft. The first round is the best place for the Cardinals to make a splash, and here are five players Arizona should be targeting with the 20th overall pick to help the Cardinals reach the postseason in 2014.

The Cardinals may be looking to add a pass rusher in the first round, and Ford would be a good option. He has good speed off the edge and could be moved to outside linebacker if necessary. If he's the top edge rusher available at 20th overall, Ford should draw serious consideration from Arizona.

The Cardinals have signed Jared Veldheer, but they could use another offensive tackle. Martin could fit at right tackle, and gives Arizona the opportunity to move him inside to guard if necessary, which could make Martin a versatile and valuable selection if the Cardinals want to bolster their offensive line 20th overall.

Outside linebacker may be Arizona's biggest need, and Shazier will almost certainly be available 20th overall, so the Cardinals have to give serious consideration to drafting him.

2. Calvin Pryor, S, Louisville

The Cardinals have not re-signed Yeremiah Bell, so safety is going to be a priority for them in this year's draft. With Pryor being one of the top players available at that position and likely to be available 20th overall, he's someone that Arizona will give strong consideration to, and he could be one of their best options to take in the first round.

1. Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri

Ealy is the caliber of pass rusher that Arizona needs to add to its defense. If he's available 20th overall, it could be tough to pass on him. The Cardinals need someone along the defensive line who can make an impact and get after the quarterback, which is exactly what Ealy is capable of doing.
