In the 2013 season, the New Orleans Saints were able to climb back after a season of mediocrity the year before. That said, despite the team's current talent, there is still plenty of room for improvement and it all starts with the 2014 NFL Draft. Ladies and gentlemen, here are five players the New Orleans Saints should target with the 27th overall pick.

A smart, instinctive linebacker, C.J. Mosley is one of the best defensive prospects in this year’s draft. However, his injury concerns could lead to him falling down draft boards, allowing the Saints to pick him up here.

4. Kelvin Benjamin

The Saints have a very solid receiving corps, but they are missing something. That something is a big red zone threat, and that’s where Kelvin Benjamin comes in. Benjamin stands at 6-foot-5, and is one of, if not the most physical receiver in this year’s draft.

3. Kyle Fuller

On one side of the field, the New Orleans Saints are set at cornerback with star corner Keenan Lewis. However, across the field is a different story. Corey White isn’t really an NFL-caliber starter, and the depth behind him is even worse. By picking up Kyle Fuller, the Saints could take their secondary to another level.

2. Dee Ford

A DE/OLB hybrid, Dee Ford is one of the more tantalizing prospects in this year's draft. He has all the talent to become a stud pass rusher, and Ford is just the type of player Rob Ryan loves.

1. Kony Ealy

One of the more impressive physical specimens in the draft, Kony Ealy is absolutely loaded with potential. He’s raw, but with better coaching and practice, Ealy could dominate as a member of New Orleans’ defense.
