After a good showing at his Pro Day, Johnny Manziel's NFL stock is at an all-time high. There's no doubt he'll be drafted in the top 10 this May, it's just a matter of what team wants him the most.

The Minnesota Vikings reportedly have Manziel on their big board, but it's unclear exactly where he's at on it. Here are five reasons why the Vikings should draft Johnny Football and why he can be a franchise QB:

This could be a good or bad thing, depending on how you look at it. Manziel is going to equal a media circus, at least as he's breaking into the NFL. But after awhile, things will calm down. Before too long, he'll just be another young QB trying to make it. But just because he'll draw lots of media attention, it doesn't mean the Vikings can't spin that in a positive way.

Above all else, players need a competitive edge to be successful in the NFL. Manziel is extremely competitive and he seems to be driven to be the best. That's exactly what you want in a franchise QB. You don't have to like him, but if he plays his tail off, you have to respect him.

Good gravy, can you imagine all the Manziel merchandise that will fly off the shelves? Purple No. 2 jerseys would be all over the state of Minnesota.

All of the previously listed reasons don't matter if Manziel can't make all the throws. But after watching his Pro Day performance, I'd say it's pretty clear he can indeed make them all. Sure, he's got some mechanical things to work on, but what rookie doesn't?

Adrian Peterson is obviously the face of the Vikings right now, and he has been for years. His status as the face isn't going to change if Manziel is drafted, but we all know father time is coming for AP. Eventually, someone else is going to have to fill that role, and what better person than Manziel? That is, only if he keeps his off-field behavior in check.
