While free agency is winding down, there are still several offensive players who can help improve the Buffalo Bills in the 2014 season. With the New England Patriots remaining a powerhouse and the New York Jets adding depth to the offense this offseason, the Bills must be prepared for a difficult battle in the AFC East.
Here are five agents the Buffalo Bills should still sign.
Listed at 6-foot-5, Jermichael Finley would be an additional safety blanket for young E.J. Manuel. The tight end is still recovering from a neck injury, but he could be signed at a cheap price.
Not only could Josh Cribbs play as a wide receiver for the Bills, but he could become a return specialist as well. Even though he isn't a youngster anymore, Cribbs is still a playmaker when he gets the ball in his hands.
The Bills have several talented young receivers on the team, but a big, physical threat is still missing from this offense. Kenny Britt can drag defenders down the field, and he would be a huge target for E.J. Manuel.
Owen Daniels is another player who would add depth to this roster and could be signed at a very good price. The 6-foot-3 tight end would be an additional red zone target for Manuel.
Santonio Holmes would provide veteran leadership to the younger receivers, and his knowledge and experience would help Manuel develop. He is very familiar with the defense of the New England Patriots, so he would instantly become an offensive weapon for Buffalo.
