The Houston Texans have the honor and difficult decision of selecting the first player from the 2014 NFL Draft. While the Texans will be able to improve from their draft picks, there are still several free agents who could help with the rebound year that Houston is hoping for in 2014.

Here are five free agents who the Houston Texans should still sign.

5. Michael Bush: RB

If the Texans want to keep Arian Foster healthy, then it needs to find a back who can absorb some punishment. The 249-pound Michael Bush would help to move the chains in Houston, and in previous seasons in Oakland, he has proven that he can be actively involved in the passing game with 418 receiving yards in 2011.

4. Andre Brown: RB

With Ben Tate gone, the Texans need to quickly find Foster some support. Much like Michael Bush, Andre Brown is a bulldozer who can help push the ball forward.

3. Dustin Keller: TE

While not the flashiest player, Dustin Keller provides a team with stability. The Texans have several young tight ends, but Keller would be a cheap option who would be a great security blanket for a rookie quarterback.

2. Josh Cribbs: WR/KR

The Houston Texans did not record a single touchdown from kickoffs last season, and the return game needs massive improvement. Josh Cribbs has proved that he can be an explosive playmaker, and this would be a great addition for Houston.

1. Terrell Thomas: CB

The defense for Houston only recorded seven interceptions in 2013, so adding Terrell Thomas would be an immediate improvement. He would be a cheap option until the Texans found a permanent solution through the draft.

There's something to be said for pulling out all the stops and using every trick play in the book to win a playoff game, but bringing in J.J. Watt to play quarterback in the wildcat formation was probably a giveaway that he would be running the ball.
