With the NFL Draft fast approaching, the Denver Broncos are looking for some players who not only can help the team get back to the Super Bowl, but also who can fit well in the system for years to come. While most fans focus on the first round, there are players who have been taken in later rounds who have shown success.

With that in mind, here are five prospects that the Broncos should target on Day 2, which covers Round 2 through Round 4.

5. Lamarcus Joyner - CB, Florida State

Despite coming in at 5-foot-8, Lamarcus Joyner hits like a truck at his position. We all saw how physical the Seattle Seahawks were on defense in the Super Bowl. This would be a great pick for the Broncos, as Joyner has shown his abilities as a corner. His closing speed and run stopping abilities make him the ideal choice for the Broncos.

4. Jordan Matthews - WR, Vanderbilt

With Eric Decker departing, the Broncos were able to sign Emmanuel Sanders to a deal. However, they could use some added depth at the wide out position.

Jordan Matthews would be a great pick on Day 2. His size and speed can somewhat remind fans of Demaryius Thomas. His route running should be a key factor, as he has the chance to be moved to favorable matchups due to his abilities to play on the out and inside.

3. Trent Murphy - DE, Stanford

The Broncos have spent from the time they had suffered the loss in the Super Bowl to now on defense, and Day 2 will be no different. If the Broncos needed a player who can get to the ball carrier or create havoc on the quarterback, look no further than Trent Murphy. The Stanford product has the abilities to time the snap count, as well as his speed, off the corner, which will give offenses fits if the Broncos draft him.

2. Tyler Gaffney - RB, Stanford

Another player from the Cardinal, the Broncos should look to Tyler Gaffney as the team's bruiser at running back. His abilities to break off tackles and get even more yards after contact will be key. His ability to pass block could be the deciding factor, especially if he is going to protect a quarterback like Peyton Manning.

1. Chris Borland - ILB, Wisconsin

One of the main focuses of the draft for the Broncos will be the linebacker position. While Chris Borland hurts in the size category, this is a linebacker with determination, great discipline, and passion for the game. He was one of the greatest defenders in Wisconsin history, and should look to succeed even further in the NFL. The Broncos should take him if available.
