The 2013-14 NFL season was an absolute disaster for the Houston Texans. From Super Bowl favorites to No. 1 overall pick, the Texans drastically fell apart, and it's crucial that the team gets back on track through the NFL Draft. With that in mind, ladies and gentlemen, five Day 2 prospects the Houston Texans need to target.

Part of the reason the Texans' offense had so much trouble was because of the offensive line's inept play, allowing 42 sacks and letting their quarterbacks get pummeled. With that said, by picking up Billy Turner on Day 2 of the draft, the Texans are getting an aggressive player with the potential to develop into something special.

4. Joel Bitonio

As mentioned, the Texans' offensive line was atrocious last season. Joel Bitonio is extremely raw as it stands right now, but with some better coaching and some seasoning, Bitonio could develop into one of the league's better young tackles.

As it stands right now, the only nose tackle the Texans currently have on the roster is Jerrell Powe, and that's simply not going to cut it. By picking up Ego Ferguson, the Texans are getting themselves a disruptive force with the potential to become a very valuable member of their defensive tackle rotation.

2. Chris Borland

Brian Cushing has one of the Texans' inside linebacker spots locked down, however, the other inside linebacker position is extremely thin right now. Chris Borland is one of the most NFL-ready linebackers in this draft class, and would make an immediate impact in Houston.

1. Jimmy Garoppolo

Let's just pretend the Texans don't select a quarterback at the top of the draft. By waiting until the second day of the draft, it allows the Texans to pick up Jimmy Garoppolo out of Eastern Illinois, and in the process, snag their quarterback of the future. Garoppolo has a lightning-quick release and all the arm talent to succeed, and he could thrive in Houston.
