Every offseason, nothing is ever what it seems. Teams who we think will continue to be great fall off, and the unthinkable happens. Some horrible organization rises from the ashes to glory. In Baltimore, there are guys who are about to benefit from change. Here are five Ravens who are about to blow up in a major way, and you have never even heard of them.

Jackson has had issues in the past with performance-enhancing drugs and has been suspended twice. However, everytime he comes back, he manages to shock and awe with his performances in the preseason. Look for Jackson to not only make the roster with his now legal prescription for Adderall, but to push Chykie Brown for his starting spot with Corey Graham out of the building.

A true “no-name” grinder has been in the league for a year, Larsen has a physical prowess about him. He is great in run support, which could help the Ravens tremendously considering they were ranked 12th in the league last year against the run. Cody Larsen reminds me of a bigger J.J. Watt. He knows when to get his hands up to bat down passes.

During his time at Kansas State, Brown was an athletic freak. The Ravens selected him in the second round of last year’s draft. He is going to step up big with the departure of Jameel McClain. Look for Brown to be lining up alongside Daryl Smith this upcoming season.

With the signing of Steve Smith and the emergence of Marlon Brown, it will be tough for Mellette to become a factor this season, but just watch. The only thing that set the star from Elon back last year was injury. He will make himself a factor.

Baltimore is about to be blown away with Brown. “Ozzie strikes again” is what fans will be yelling once he rises to the top of the depth chart. Darian Stewart, or any other safety brought in will not be able to trump this talented ball hawk. Stay tuned to the Ravens’ secondary this offseason as the competition will be wide open for the FS slot.
