After six seasons with the Tennessee Titans, Chris Johnson is set to hit the free agent market. While his best days are probably behind him, there will surely be several teams lined up to try and acquire his services.
In this slideshow we'll take a look at the top five landing spots for the RB:
The Rams are teams being rumored for one reason -- Jeff Fisher. The former Titans head coach is of course familiar with Johnson, but does he really make sense for the Rams? I don't think so. Zac Stacy established himself last year and there isn't a shortage of backs in St. Louis.
The Cowboys have come up as a potential landing spot for CJ2k, but they're not exactly a team in the market for another RB. Sure, he could probably help the Cowboys, but he doesn't make sense for a team that throws 50 times a game.
Johnson has been linked to the Falcons, who also have Steven Jackson and Jacquizz Rodgers in their backfield. CJ2k would make for nice addition, but only if he's willing to play for way less than he has been.
Insurance policy. That's what Johnson would be for the Giants. With David Wilson coming off neck surgery, it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea to bring another back on board. If Johnson wants to play for a winner, the Giants would be a good fit.
The team that needs him the most, and the team that's likely to pay him the most, is no doubt the New York Jets. There are reports that they 'won't overpay' for Johnson, but what team wants to overpay for a player?
If CJ2k still wants a chance to shine as a feature back, playing in green makes the most sense.
