The Cardinals, like a lot of teams, have quite a few areas of need -- if only for added depth. With the draft fast approaching, the rumor mills are really heating up. The speculation about who they might take or what they might do with the twentieth overall pick has been wild. There's just no telling which way Arizona is leaning just yet. But here are a few of the more interesting rumors.

Safety Jestin Love, out of Central Arkansas, held a very lightly attended pro day recently. All told, five NFL teams were represented at Love's pro day, with the Arizona Cardinals being one of them. It just so happens that the Cards find themselves in need of some help at the safety position, and with their presence at Love's pro day, speculation of course immediately began that he would be their pick at No. 20.

While not a “draft rumor,” the following is a rumor that might impact the Cardinals' drafting strategy and bears repeating. As the rumor goes, the Cards would send Williams to the Dallas Cowboys for Claiborne. It would be a win-win for both teams as the Cowboys would get a proven run stuffer, and Claiborne reuniting with his former LSU teammates Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu would likely help the underachieving DB fulfill his potential.

The Cardinals could use some help in their receiving corps. Outside of Larry Fitzgerald, and possibly Michael Floyd, they don't have a whole lot going on. So it's raised some eyebrows that they've scheduled a visit with South Carolina's flashy wideout Bruce Ellington. Adding fuel to the bonfire of rumor is the fact that Bruce's cousin Andre is a running back with the team. Might we see a family affair in Arizona after the draft? Possibly so.

2. Heir Apparent to Carson Palmer?

HC Bruce Arians perhaps unknowingly, touched off a firestorm of speculation by Tweeting out a picture of himself with Va Tech QB Logan Morris. Of course the rumor mill went into overdrive with speculation that the Cards would take the 6-foot-6, 250 pound Morris and make him the heir apparent to Carson Palmer as the team's franchise QB. Arians sure gave people a lot to talk about.

Recent -- and highly speculative -- talk has the Cards talking about trading up in the draft, possibly switching places with the St. Louis Rams to get a shot at Jadeveon Clowney. Adding Clowney to a defense that was very good last season, might make them an elite team.
