The San Diego Chargers still have many glaring needs that they will need to fill on Day 3 of the draft. While these rounds do not carry as much glamour and hype as the first couple of rounds, there are still many players available who can make significant contributions to the team.

Here are five prospects that the Chargers must target.

Chris Davis is famous for his touchdown return in the last seconds of the Alabama vs. Auburn game. He is a very good athlete and despite his size, can compete in jump ball situations against taller receivers. He can also provide a much-needed boost to the Chargers’ return game.

4. Xavier Grimble

The Chargers will need to find someone to replace Antonio Gates, and Xavier Grimble may be the guy. He did not get many targets despite being a starter in college, but his height and athleticism shows that he has a lot of potential.

3. Jordan Zumwalt

Jordan Zumwalt is a high-motor, big hitting linebacker, who could play a key role on special teams. He has the ability to play all four linebacker positions in the Chargers' 3-4 defense, and his versatility should warrant him a look.

2. Seantrel Henderson

Seantrel Henderson has great size and strength for the offensive tackle position. Numerous injury and off the field problems have him dropping to the later rounds, but there is no doubting his potential. He could be an absolute steal and would give the Chargers another young talent on their offensive line.

1. DeAnthony Thomas

DeAnthony Thomas was one of the most electrifying players in college football the past couple of years. There are many questions about his size and durability, leading him to be a later round pick. While the Chargers have three running backs, Thomas would be a situational player and is worth the gamble. He would instantly give the team a game-breaking threat, something they haven’t had in years.
