With the recent report by Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that the St. Louis Rams are "strongly considering" drafting a quarterback, the entire 2014 NFL Draft may now be altered. With the second pick in the draft, the Rams could quickly ruin the plans of several teams by drafting a quarterback with one of their two picks in the first round.

Here are five quarterbacks that the Rams could select in the 2014 NFL Draft.

A reconstructive knee surgery is scaring some teams away from Aaron Murray, but the former signal caller for the Georgia Bulldogs is still a solid selection in the early rounds of the draft. Murray finished his senior year with 3,075 passing yards, 26 touchdown passes, nine interceptions and seven rushing touchdowns.

Now regarded as one of the most well-rounded quarterbacks in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Rams could select Blake Bortles at No. 2. If the team really is serious about drafting someone to give Sam Bradford competition, then St. Louis cannot let Bortles slip through the team's fingers.

Derek Carr has been projected to be taken by several different teams in several different rounds, but the Rams have an early pick in the third round that could be used to draft Carr if he is still available. The Rams could have a steal by landing Carr who finished his 2013 season with 5,082 passing yards and 50 touchdowns.

2. Tajh Boyd, Clemson

There hasn't been much discussion on former Clemson quarterback Tajh Boyd, but the Rams met with the young signal caller to see if he could be a possible fit for the team. Boyd is a dual-threat quarterback who ran for 400 yards in 2013 and scored 10 rushing touchdowns. The Rams would be able to bring a new spark to the offense with Boyd and Tavon Austin playing together.

He won't be the first selection for the Rams, but he could become a second or third-round pick depending on how things play out. He has the build that organizations love in a starting quarterback, and he has experience in a pro-style offense. The former Pittsburgh quarterback does need to work on his consistency, but Savage looks like a project that St. Louis could invest in.
