The San Francisco 49ers have six picks in the first three rounds. That’s the most out of any team. With that many picks, that gives them a lot of freedom to move around. This three-round mock draft is done with the picks they currently hold.

The 49ers need a wide receiver. Anquan Boldin isn’t going to be around for much longer and, like it or not, Michael Crabtree might end up being a cap casualty with all the contract extensions the 49ers have coming up. Brandin Cooks out of Oregon State seems small but doesn’t play that way. He’s strong, stocky, has elite speed and amazing hands. The 2013 Biletnikoff Award winner is exactly what the 49ers need.

With the exit of Carlos Rogers and Tarrell Brown, along with the uncertainty of Chris Culliver going forward, the CB position is a major need for the 49ers. Pierre Desir out of Lindenwood University is a big, physical cornerback who a lot of teams are looking for with the success of Richard Sherman. Something that 49ers GM Trent Baalke values in his draft picks that Desir has is long arms. Desir’s arms were measured at 33 inches.

Since Donte Whitner left for the Cleveland Browns, the 49ers will be looking to draft a safety for the second year in a row. Since the 49ers signed Antoine Bethea in free agency, they can afford to draft someone who stills needs a little work. Deone Bucannon out of Washington State University is the same kind of player Whitner is. He plays hard against the run, can cover the pass when asked to, and is very smart.

77th Pick: C Weston Richburg

The 49ers will be needing interior offensive linemen very soon. Their starting center as of right now is Daniel Kilgore, but with starting left guard Mike Iupati likely to hit free agency after this season, Kilgore could move to guard and Colorado State's Weston Richburg could move into center. Richburg is extremely smart with great hands.

94th Pick: CB Bashaud Breeland

Not only do the 49ers need a starter or two at CB, they desperately need depth. Bashaud Breeland out of Clemson is cut from the same mold as Desir. He’s big, long and physical. Breeland could absolutely be more than a depth guy though -- he could easily be a solid starter in the NFL someday.

100th Pick: WR Martavis Bryant

Martavis Bryant out of Clemson has a ceiling almost as high as any other WR in this draft class. He has blazing speed, incredible length, and makes some amazing catches. What he really needs to work on is the consistency of his hands. There were times at Clemson when he would make some drops that would leave you scratching your head. But then on the next play, he would make a diving catch in the end zone with a hand between him and the ball.
