The 2014 NFL Draft will soon be upon us and all eyes are on which trades will transpire. Expected to have a defense-heavy draft, the Jets should do their best to trade some of their struggling players to gather more draft picks. Take a look at five trades the Jets should consider.

WR Clyde Gates has been struggling throughout his career with the Jets. With the acquisitions of Eric Decker and Jacoby Ford, in addition to even more drafted wide receivers, Gates won't last after training camp. He could use a change of scenery to hopefully spark his ability to be a difference-maker.

4. Kyle Wilson

CB Kyle Wilson is on his way out with the Jets since he just can't keep up with the top wide receivers in the league. The Jets picked up Dimitri Patterson and are expected to draft a few cornerbacks. Wilson could thrive under a different defense since he's better in zone coverage than the Jets' usual man-to-man coverage.

3. Konrad Reuland

TE Konrad Reuland has usually been a practice squad kind of guy, but last season showed some hope that he could be a decent player at his position in the right system. The Jets could package him with another receiver and trade them to a team in need of depth to acquire more draft picks.

2. Stephen Hill

WR Stephen Hill has been inconsistent over the past few years, only hauling in four touchdowns in his entire career. He has yet to live up to the hype of being a prolific wide receiver. Out of all receivers on the Jets, Hill shows the most potential to do well in a new system and has the most trade appeal. Hill is a team player and overall good person, and he should thrive somewhere else.

1. Mike Goodson

RB Mike Goodson is the most ideal player to trade since the Jets have now added RB Chris Johnson to an already stacked rushing lineup. The Jets need to unload one or two players from their backfield and Goodson would be the odd man out. Despite having character issues, Goodson could return to being a productive running back should a team want to take a risk on him.
