The divisional matchups for 2014 only got tougher for the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. Former Pro Bowl WR DeSean Jackson was released by the team on Mar. 28 and signed by the Washington Redskins on Apr. 2. Following a career year by Jackson in Philly, the Eagles will now have to deal with covering him and Pierre Garcon twice this season. The 2014 NFL Draft is yet to commence, so it’s too soon to tell how exactly the finalized league rosters will shape out for Opening Kickoff.

The Eagles went 4-2 in their division in 2013. They get their first taste of a divisional foe on Sep. 21 when Jackson and the Redskins visit Lincoln Financial Field. Philadelphia also gets a coveted Thanksgiving Day game in 2014, when they go on the road to face the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 27.

The Eagles have what most would consider to be a soft season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This can be bad if they play down to the Jaguars’ level and are ill-prepared for a Week 2 matchup against Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts. Or, the Eagles could dominate the Jaguars and get their confidence levels sky high in preparation for the Colts and early season momentum, which may be a good thing.

Outside of the AFC East division, the Eagles are facing teams with a cumulative record of 86-73-1 from the 2013 season. They face each team from the NFC West once, which was arguably the best division in the NFL in 2013, and also is home to the last two defending NFC Champions.

It should be an interesting season for the Eagles, and fans in Philadelphia will be sure to let Chip Kelly know what they think about the efforts of his organization. You can view the 2014 Eagles schedule in full below:
