Detroit Lions Rumors: Trading Ndamukong Suh Would be Terrible Move
As one of the meanest defensive players in the NFL — in a good way most of the time — Ndamukong Suh has made a living off of making quarterbacks’ lives a nightmare. The Detroit Lions star defensive lineman, however, is in the midst of contract negotiations and it must not be going so well because the team has been rumored to have been shopping him.
News Alarm: Ndamukong Suh (DT – Det)Detroit Lions have talked to other teams about a possible Ndamukong Suh trade.

Suh has been absent during Lions’ offseason workouts because of the contract disagreements, but people had been expecting him to show up eventually and a big deal hasn’t really been made of his absence just yet.
However, the Lions’ front office seems to be frustrated with the negotiations and it looks like they may not be getting anywhere as he has not made the best impression on his new coaching staff. Many have speculated that the trade would be to actually move up in this year’s draft as well. Sammy Watkins, anyone?
In just four years in the NFL, Suh has been extremely productive and has made his mark on many quarterbacks. While he is known for his dirty hits, he is also known for being one of the best defensive tackles in the league.
Suh has racked up 186 career tackles to go along with 27.5 career sacks. While his numbers have regressed since his rookie year in 2010, you have to realize all the double teams he draws and the attention he gets from the offensive line.
The Lions would be silly to let such a great defender leave — even if he isn’t the best personality to have around. If Detroit wants to start winning, it needs to keep its best defensive player.
This guy is worth the hassle and all the fines.
