The good news for fans of the Jacksonville Jaguars is that things cannot get any worse. The team will look to improve on a four-win season from 2013, and new weapons from the draft could help the Jaguars find a spot near the top of the AFC South. In order for the Jaguars to be successful, however, they have to win these five huge matchups.
These two teams will meet earlier in the year, but Jacksonville must beat the Indianapolis Colts after their bye week. This game could have significant consequences for the AFC South.
This game is right before the Jaguars' bye week, so it will be important to make a statement before the team has a break. If the Jaguars can contain Dez Bryant, then the team will have something to build off of going into the second part of the season.
If the Jaguars do not win the second game of the season against the Washington Redskins, then it could be the start of another long year in Jacksonville. The Jaguars will need to stop RG3 and DeSean Jackson, while also putting points on the board. Not an easy task.
With the playoffs only a few weeks away, the Jaguars need to finish the season strong with a win in Week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens. This game will be about limiting turnovers, so the Jaguars' offense will need to find a way to beat the Ravens' defense.
This is the first game of the season, and stopping Chip Kelly's offense will be the most difficult task the Jaguars face all year. Beating this powerhouse will be a huge statement, and it would show that Jacksonville is now a competitive football team.
