The NFL released each team's full schedule this past Wednesday, and the Tennessee Titans will be looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Tennessee has finished around .500 the past three seasons, and 2014 will also be a make-or-break year for former first-round quarterback Jake Locker.

With all of these factors in mind, here are the five biggest games on the Tennessee Titans' schedule in 2014.

The second of three road games in their first four weeks, the Titans travel to Cincinnati to take on the reigning AFC North champions. With a matchup the next week against the reigning AFC South champion Indianapolis Colts at Indianapolis, the Titans will have to get off to a fast start in order to stay in contention with the Colts. A road win against Cincinnati also would give the Titans plenty of confidence going into a crucial division game.

In week 12, the Titans travel to Philadelphia in what could turn out to be a crucial game. If the Titans get past the Philadelphia Eagles and are still in contention at that time, the Titans face four consecutive opponents that failed to reach the postseason in 2013, giving the team an excellent opportunity to get back into contention, should the Titans slip up at anytime during the season.

The Titans' first prime-time game is a Monday night affair against the Pittsburgh Steelers, who the Titans defeated 10-9 in last year's season opener. This is Tennessee's first time in the national spotlight in quite some time. The Titans also have a prime time Thursday Night matchup later on in the season in Week 16 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

In order to get off to a solid start in 2014, the Tennessee Titans will have to do something that few teams did last year. The Titans will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to begin the regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs. An opening matchup against the Chiefs would give the Titans an excellent measuring stick to aim for. Kansas City's offense also gives Tennessee's new 3-4 scheme a solid opponent.

Earlier, I said that the first week of the regular season would be crucial, and now the final week is just as crucial. After coming so close to defeating the Indianapolis Colts twice last season, the Titans get the Colts in Nashville to conclude the regular season. This game could perhaps be Tennessee's must-win game to make the playoffs, or perhaps the game that could decide the AFC South regular-season title.
