The San Francisco 49ers have six picks in the first 100 in this draft and 11 picks total. With Tank Carradine and Marcus Lattimore coming back from injury, it’s almost like they have 13 draft picks. With the talent they already have on the roster, there won’t be many roster spots available for rookies. This will allow the 49ers to be extra aggressive to get the guys they want.

The 49ers are looking to replace Donte Whitner with a young strong safety to pair with Eric Reid for years to come. Ward is possibly the best safety in this draft and could very well be the safety the 49ers have their eye on. If the 49ers can trade up to get him, Ward and Reid will be one of the best safety duos in the NFL for years to come.

The 49ers need more cornerbacks. Darqueze Dennard is a perfect fit for them. He plays a very physical game and disrupts opposing wide receivers. He’s extremely quick and knows how to use his hands to re-route receivers very well. With Dennard typically being mocked around picks 13-18, the 49ers would have to give up about what they gave up last draft to grab Eric Reid. They have more than enough picks to do so.

Justin Gilbert is the top corner in this draft and would be an amazing steal for the 49ers. It would really be a case of the rich getting richer. Not only could he step in right away as a top cornerback, but he’s also a very proficient return man, which is another need for the 49ers. Gilbert would most likely come with a slightly higher price than Dennard.

Odell Beckham Jr is everything the 49ers need. He has top-level speed to take the tops off of defenses, has probably the best hands in the draft, and is an extremely good route runner. He would be the perfect compliment to Michael Crabtree and Anquan Boldin. Beckham also doubles as a return man as well. Beckham could end up being a top-10 pick or he could slip to around the 20th pick. The cost to trade up for him could vary greatly for the 49ers.

The 49ers were flat out terrible in the red zone the past few seasons. If they could find a way to change a lot of their field goals into touchdowns, their offense can be just as scary as their defense. Mike Evans would be the answer to their red zone woes. He is big, has great hands, runs good routes, and attacks the ball extremely well. A player like this could be the difference between losing in the playoffs and hoisting the Lombardi Trophy.
