Over the last few weeks, the Buffalo Bills have emerged as favorites to make a trade in the 2014 NFL Draft. As a matter of fact, general manager Doug Whaley is on record saying that the team could look to make a draft-day trade. With that said, here are the five trades the Buffalo Bills should consider before the 2014 NFL Draft.

It’s no secret that the Bills are looking to add talent around franchise quarterback, E.J. Manuel. There are few better options out there than Mike Evans, who is a big, 6-foot-5 receiver with elite potential, and would give E.J. Manuel a great young target.

There have been many rumors that the Atlanta Falcons, who currently have the no. 6 overall selection, are looking to move up in the draft. However, could the team be willing to trade down for the right price? Perhaps Buffalo can make a trade with the team for a future pick or two.

3. Trade Down Into Teens

This is one of the deeper first rounds in recent draft memory, and instead of trading up, it’s plausible that the Bills could look to trade down in the draft to not only select a great young talent but also pick up future picks.

2. Trade Up to No. 2 Overall

Personally, I find it unlikely that the St. Louis Rams are going to stay put at No. 2. Perhaps the Bills could make the swap with the Rams and pick up a guy like Sammy Watkins who could change the face of Buffalo’s offense.

If I were a Bills fans, this option would be my preferred choice for the team. By trading up to this pick the Bills could land someone like Jadeveon Clowney, who would give the team arguably the best defense in the NFL. If Buffalo is serious about trading up, this should be the trade they make.
