The wait for the NFL draft has been excruciating. The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing for the upcoming NFL Draft. Many teams around the league will be contacting each other trying to maneuver up and down the draft board. What would happen if the Eagles want to move up the draft board? The Eagles could use the following players as trade bait.

1. Trent Cole

Trent Cole is not a pass rushing force that he was earlier in his career. With the Eagles changing to a 3-4 scheme last year, Cole's new role not only asked him to rush the passer. He had to drop back in coverage. The added responsibility of pass coverage appeared to be a challenge for him. If a team is still looking for a veteran pass rusher and willing to offer a late round draft pick for Cole, the Eagles should take a long hard look.

2. Bryce Brown

Bryce Brown made a huge splash in 2012 when he rushed for over 100 yards in his first two games as an Eagle. In 2013, Brown only rushed for 314 yards. He eventually found himself behind LeSean McCoy and Chris Polk on the depth chart. Once the team traded for Darren Sproles, Brown became expendable. Brown still has the potential to be a decent running back. Brown could be a nice asset to move up in the draft.

3. Vinny Curry

Vinny Curry is a very interesting case for the Eagles. Last season, Curry was the most consistent pass rusher on the Eagles. Although he is not the prototypical defensive end for defensive coordinator Billy Davis' scheme, Curry’s pass-rushing ability makes it tough to trade him. However, if there is a person that the Eagles would like to target, Curry can be traded for a draft pick.

4. Brent Celek

With the emergence of Zach Ertz in the passing game and H-Back James Casey's ability to block in two tight end formations, Celek seems like a candidate who could be traded. Celek did have a decent year in Kelly's offense, but he is getting older, and his production may decline. It is highly unlikely that the Eagles would trade him, but stranger things have happened on draft day.

5. Evan Mathis

The guard has not been shy about his desire for a new contract. Reports came out that the Eagles asked Mathis to seek a trade to another team that would pay him more. Mathis and his agent searched for a team willing to trade for him, but the trade has not transpired. The draft would be one more chance for the Pro Bowl guard to go to another team.
