The Dallas Cowboys will be entering a make-or-break year in 2014, as Jerry Jones is holding out hope for the Cowboys to make a Super Bowl run. While Cowboy fans know that narrative isn't true, Jerry sees that this team can compete. For them to do that, it all starts with the draft. Here are five last-minute Cowboys rumors you should know about.

Kony Ealy could very well become one of the best defensive players in this draft down the road, but the problem with him is that he screams bust. Ealy only had one decent year at college, and the Cowboys can't afford to draft a bust in the first round. The Cowboys need a player who will come in day one and contribute, and Ealy may not be able to do that.
It may not be in the first round, but it shouldn't be a surprise if the Cowboys draft a wide receiver in the second or third round. Dez Bryant is obviously one of the best receivers in the game and Terrance Williams is up and coming, but Dallas could benefit greatly by adding another playmaker to help out Tony Romo. Some options in the draft include Davante Adams and Allen Robinson.
If there is one player in this draft who would be a dream fit for the Cowboys, it would be easily be Pittsburgh's Aaron Donald. The problem is that Donald has impressed so many people that he may not make it past the Giants at No. 12. If the Cowboys really do love Donald, they will need to likely move up to No. 10 to draft him.
With the draft status of Donald going through the roof, the Cowboys look to the second best defensive tackle in the draft to improve their defensive line. While he played mainly the 3-technique position at Florida State, Timmy Jernigan has the size and athleticism to play the 1-technique position. Jernigan is also very similar to Donald in terms of their stature and speed.
News broke out the other day that the Cowboys are interested in Johnny Manziel, and they will do whatever it takes to bring him to Dallas. Good sources, such as Jim Nantz and Peter King, reported this, and it shouldn't come as a surprise. Many don't like to admit it, but Tony Romo is 34 years old and he has already gone through two major back surgeries. Drafting Manziel isn't a need, but it's a good investment for the future.
