The NFL Draft is only a few short days away. Teams will be looking to add some talent to their rosters from the collegiate level. I have stated before that anything can happen towards or on draft day, and there are always rumors that surround teams when it comes to big events like the draft or free agency.

So, before the draft begins, here are some last-minute rumors that Denver Broncos fans should know about before Thursday May 8.

With the departure of Knowshon Moreno, the Broncos will most likely be looking at the draft to pick up a running back. However, with Montee Ball entering his second year, the team might be looking for a veteran presence. Running backs LaMichael James and Mark Ingram have been linked to the Broncos as additions during the draft or after.

Picking 31st is always a challenge because you have to wait for 30 other teams to make their pick. If a solid player falls down in the draft, it would not surprise me if the Broncos trade spots with a team to get the said player. This would especially hold true if the team is looking to get a great defensive player early in the draft.

And then there is the possibility of trading out of the first round. This will most likely happen if the Broncos do not have a player set, or the players that they would like to draft are already gone. The chances of this happening is not likely, but if it comes down to it, there is no harm in trading out.

There have been so many mock drafts that have had the Broncos drafting so many different players, it is almost impossible to pinpoint the player who the team will take. I believe if they can trade up, they will go defense. Otherwise, I think they will bolster the offensive line. The two names that are linked to pick No. 31 are Ryan Shazier and Xavier Su'a-Filo.

Other than Ryan Shazier and Xavier Su'a-Filo as targets for the draft, one name has surfaced that could be interesting. If the cards are in the Broncos' favor, look for them to find a way to draft C.J. Mosley. He could be the middle linebacker that could make the Broncos a dominant force on the defensive side of the football.
