As the countdown for the 2014 NFL Draft continues to intensify with it just over a day from the Houston Texans being on the clock, the St. Louis Rams' rumor mill is heating up with possibilities and trades that could potentially happen. With that said, here are five last-minute draft rumors that you need to know about the Rams.

With all the rumors surrounding potential destinations for Johnny Football, St. Louis is gaining steam as a landing spot. The Rams worked out Manziel last week and a recent report came out that the team had held a secret meeting with him at the NFL Combine in February. Although this may be just a ploy to get guys around the league talking, just the fact that this idea has been thrown out there makes things more interesting to say the least.

4. Rams May Trade Down

If St. Louis believes that they could get the player they desire later in the draft, the team may trade down from the second overall pick to gain more draft picks. The Rams have worked out a slew of top prospects but could fill one of their biggest needs at the offensive line with either Jake Matthews or Greg Robinson even if they move down a few spots in the draft. All in all, they have many different directions they could go come draft time.

3. Rams Draft Sammy Watkins With 2nd Overall Pick

The Rams have a glaring need at the wide receiver position, and former Clemson wideout Sammy Watkins fits that the bill if the team chooses to go in that direction. St. Louis has already held a pre-draft workout with Watkins and could easily take him with the second overall pick. If selected, Watkins would step in immediately as the team's No. 1 receiver and quickly improve their passing attack.

2. Rams Take Jadeveon Clowney with 2nd Overall Pick

If Jadeveon Clowney is available when the Rams are on the clock with their second overall pick, don't be surprised if they end up selecting the former South Carolina standout. St. Louis already possesses two solid defensive ends in Chris Long and last year's NFC sack leader in Robert Quinn, so the addition of Clowney would make their already stout defense even more intimidating with another legit pass rusher.

Trade speculation is beginning to swirl around the former first overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Multiple reports have stated that the Rams have possibly discussed shipping Sam Bradford to the Minnesota Vikings and drafting another quarterback such as Johnny Manziel. Despite head coach Jeff Fisher coming out and backing his quarterback, it makes one wonder how much longer Bradford will remain in St. Louis.
