5 Moves the Washington Redskins Must Make After the 2014 NFL Draft

The Washington Redskins had an average draft based on everything that I am reading, and it was honestly their recent free agent move, DeSean Jackson, that really caught my eye. Trent Murphy and Morgan Moses have impressed the most out of the Skins' draft class, and they could both earn solid playing time by the end of the year. These are the five things that they must make happen in order to get back into contention.

5. Maintain DeSean Jackson's Stability

Jackson gives Washington the best down field receiving threat they have had since Art Monk. Maybe that is overstating it a bit, but it is certain that Robert Griffin III's arm will go quite nicely with their newest wide receiver's speed.

4. Figure Out Defensive Line

Murphy will most likely play outside linebacker, but he could also be used at defensive end in some packages. It will be interesting to see how the health of their defensive line is at the start of the year. If they can develop some chemistry, then that will help the offense's ability to stay in close games.

3. Lessen Pressure on Robert Griffin III

RGIII's lack of a brace this season will help his confidence quite a bit, but his teammates will also need to give him more than last year. He is my favorite to win comeback player of the year until further notice, and he even took in a Washington Wizards game recently with rapper Wale as you can see above.

2. Get Dan Snyder Out of the Building

This one is not realistic, but I would settle for the owner limiting some of his appearances. I love RGIII's potential talent with the Skins, but isn't it strange that we keep seeing their owner a little bit too involved? Hasn't Daniel Snyder learned anything from the past?

1. Have Offensive Balance

The reason they were able to have so much success two seasons ago was mainly because of the balance that their running game gave to the offense. Look for Alfred Morris to get the ball in space a lot more next year, which will help RGIII a lot more when it comes to the play action pass.
