After adding seven players in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Giants added nine more undrafted free agents in the days that followed. New York is hoping that at least one of these players can emerge in training camp and become a valuable contributor to the team. Here is a look at five of the Giants' UDFAs who have a chance to make the 53-man roster.

Dan Fox dealt with a knee injury during his senior season at Notre Dame, hurting his effectiveness and draft stock. Like many of New York's rookie additions, Fox was a team leader who demonstrated quality character. Fox will compete for a backup linebacker spot as well as a special teams role for Big Blue.

4. C.J. Barnett, S, Ohio State

C.J. Barnett is a hard-hitting safety with above average instincts. Barnett plays with good discipline and is strong in coverage against tight ends and backs. Will Hill's uncertain status for the upcoming season gives the Ohio State product a much better chance of making the final roster.

3. Emmanuel Dieke, DE, Georgia Tech

The Giants are at their best when they have a deep defensive line rotation. After losing a great deal of firepower from their D-line in the offseason, Big Blue hopes that Emmanuel Dieke can become a serviceable rotational pass-rusher. Dieke is an intriguing prospect. He has good size and athleticism but needs to improve his technique.

2. Xavier Grimble, TE, USC

The Giants failed to address their need at tight end during the 2014 NFL Draft. However, they were able to sign Xavier Grimble shortly after the draft. Grimble did not put up great numbers at USC, but he is an above average blocker who can also make plays as a receiver. New York's lack of talent at tight end will give Grimble a chance of making the roster.

The undrafted free agent with the best chance of making the team is Kelcy Quarles. Quarles recorded 9.5 sacks and 13.5 tackles for loss in his final season at South Carolina. His ability to rush the passer will be a welcome addition to the Giants' defensive tackle rotation. Quarles projects as a three-technique in the NFL.
