With free agency and the 2014 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror, the Oakland Raiders still have a lot of work to do heading into OTAs. While the roster has improved, there are still a number of question marks that must be addressed. How will they choose to address them, though? As rumors have it, the Raiders are considering making some interesting moves.

With that in mind, here’s a look at the five biggest Raiders rumors as OTAs get under way.

Prior to the 2014 NFL Draft, the Raiders were believed to be looking to ship Moore away in a draft-day trade. That obviously never came to fruition, but that doesn’t mean a deal can’t still happen. The Raiders recently signed veteran Greg Little and have several intriguing UDFA options at receiver. While Moore is a starting-caliber pass-catcher, his inconsistency might allow the Raiders to say goodbye.

With Derek Carr and Matt Schaub nearly locked into the top two spots on the quarterback depth chart, McGloin could be the odd-man out in Oakland. He started several games for the Raiders last season and held his own, but is nothing more than a quality backup. If one team becomes desperate enough to add some depth at quarterback, McGloin could be had for the right price.

Don’t blow a gasket just yet; this rumor has already been discredited by a number of sources. While the Raiders would certainly love to bring aboard a star like Peterson, the Vikings aren’t shopping him and would be asking too much for Oakland even if they were. Sorry to burst your bubble, Raiders fans.

At this point, the Raiders still need a legitimate No. 1 receiver. While the addition of James Jones helps, they still don’t have that reliable option who can dominate defenses. The Texans have refuted this latest rumor, but might be forced to re-explore trade options if Johnson really is set on getting out of Houston at some point this season.

According to reports, Carr was extremely impressive during the Raiders’ rookie minicamp this past weekend. The team has made it clear that they intend on starting Schaub and letting the rookie learn from the sidelines, but could change their tune if Carr continues to shine during OTAs. We all know the Raiders can’t afford to be patient heading into 2014, which could lead them to start the second-rounder sooner than anticipated.
