After a semi-polarizing 2014 NFL Draft for the Detroit Lions, they made some pretty solid moves after to pick up decent undrafted free agents. Here are five undrafted free agents who have a solid chance of making the 53-man roster this season.

With the Lions looking to air it out this season, they’re going to need depth at the receiver position. Andrew Peacock is Appalachian State’s all-time leader with 208 receptions, and he ranks fifth in school history with 2,108 yards. He’s a typical UDFA, with incredible numbers from a smaller school. If he can show some game at camp, he’ll stick around.

Since the Lions are looking to add the fullback position to the offense, they’ll need a solid backup for Jed Collins. Abram had great numbers with the BCS National Champs Florida State, and he should provide another pass catching FB for Joe Lombardi’s new offense.

James Franklin was actually a fairly high profile, dual threat quarterback for Missouri. It would be great for the Lions to have a speedy QB as a backup. It’s just nice to have the variety of looks. Franklin also put up good numbers in the passing game.

Known for his crazy long wingspan, the three-year starter out of William and Mary has tremendous upside, and could become a possible starter someday to help the struggling Lions secondary.

The Lions could go two-for-two with undrafted free agent tackles after snagging starter LaAdrian Waddle last year. Lucas is humongous, plain and simple, but he also shows flashes of athleticism. A pro staff and a full commitment to football could make Lucas a potential starter on the line for the Lions.
