The Tennessee Titans start with a new regime in 2014. Ken Whisenhunt takes over as the head coach while Ray Horton begins his first year as defensive coordinator. Horton will instill a 3-4 defense that will hopefully maximize the talents of the Titans' defensive players. In 2013, the Titans suffered their fifth-straight non-losing season. Here are the Titans' five biggest rumors entering OTAs.

With Chris Johnson having departed through free agency, the Titans now will have to find a new starting running back. Shonn Greene will return to the Titans for his second season, while Tennessee drafted Washington's Bishop Sankey with a second-round draft pick. Green has proven he can be a full-time back when he had over 250 carries in two-consecutive seasons from 2011-2012. Finding a starting RB is of the utmost importance for the Titans.

Former standout corner Alterraun Verner left the Titans through free agency this offseason after being voted to his first Pro Bowl following the 2013 season. Which means Tennessee will have to find a starting corner opposite of Jason McCourty for 2014. Tennessee's top two options to replace Verner are 2013 third-round pick Blidi Wreh-Wilson and 2012 fourth-round pick Coty Sensabaugh.

Although the Titans drafted Taylor Lewan with the 11th overall pick, and they plan on using Lewan as the franchise tackle down the road, Lewan might not even start in 2014. The Titans still have standout tackle Michael Roos, and added free agent Michael Oher during the offseason. The two tackles who start amongst the three aforementioned players will be the result of one of the Titans' top training camp battles entering the season.

Jake Locker was the eighth overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft. Since that time, Locker has yet to prove he is a franchise quarterback. Locker is just 8-10 in 18 games started in his three-year NFL career. To Locker's credit, before serious hip and foot injuries sidelined him last season, he was showing some improvement -- in seven games started, he amassed an 86.7 rating and led the Titans to four victories.

The AFC South is such a pitiful division that the Titans could reasonably compete with the Indianapolis Colts for supremacy in the AFC South. The Colts had a terrible offseason, and their top pass-rusher, Robert Mathis, is suspended for the first four games of the season. The defense for the Titans is solid, so if Locker can step up his play and remain healthy, you could be looking at the Titans as a surprise playoff team in 2014.
