Tom Brady’s performances in the playoffs have diminished in the decade since his last Super Bowl victory and it’s statistically verifiable. There are many reasons for this decline and cause for concern over his ability to win another championship. Fellow Rant Sports writer DJ Siddiqi has already outlined five reasons why another Super Bowl victory is unlikely for Brady. Well, here are five more reasons why Brady won’t win another Super Bowl.

5. Deep Ball Accuracy

Since 2008, Tom Brady ranks 23rd in deep ball accuracy, completing just 39 percent of passes traveling over 20 yards. That’s worse than Sam Bradford, Mike Glennon and Matt Schaub. Of course, when your deep threat at WR is a 5-foot-10 converted QB instead of Randy Moss, your stats will tend to be mired in mediocrity. Brady’s inaccuracy, coupled with no deep threat, limits play-calling options which leads to No. 4.

It’s no secret that a lack of weapons on offense severely diminishes the play-calling ability of Josh McDaniels, but recently, his offensive strategy has been downright dismal. It’s a series of boring and predictable short passes -- they ranked 22nd in yards per attempt and short yardage runs that led to inevitable third-down situations. In 2013, the Patriots ranked 16th, with a depressing 37 percent conversion rate.

3. Injuries

Lately the Patriots resemble an infirmary more than a football team. Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, Rob Gronkowski, “Mr. IR” Danny Amendola, Kenbrell Thompkins, Aaron Dobson, Shane Vereen and Tommy Kelly all missed time in 2013. Also, Brady hasn’t been the same since his knee injury in 2008. He flinches and ducks when there is no pressure like he is seeing ghosts and pressure turns him into a QB with happy feet.

2. Gisele Bündchen

Marriage and family change a person’s priorities and that is arguably the case for Brady. Before his marriage to Gisele, he was 14-4 in the playoffs. Since, he is 4-4 (0-2 in the Super Bowl) and looks absolutely pedestrian. Brady has blown every big game since the “Gisele era” began, and people have started referring to it as the “Curse of Gisele". Super model wives let you know there’s more to life than football. Good for Brady, bad for fans.

This defensive scheme has cost Brady two Super Bowls and a few playoff games already, and it’s only gotten worse since Spygate. In 2013, they ranked 26th allowing 373 yards-per-game, 5.3 yards-per-play, allowed an astonishing 42 percent third-down conversion rate and ranked 25th in time of possession. When they can’t get off the field, they get fatigued and Brady can’t get on it to score points.
