Organized team activities (OTAs) are just getting under way, and the Philadelphia Eagles still have a lot of things to figure out when it comes to their football team. What will the offense look like minus DeSean Jackson? Can the defense make another step up in year two?

Let's take a look at five storylines to follow during the Eagles' organized team activities.

Mark Sanchez was signed by the Philadephia Eagles to give them veteran experience and insurance in case Nick Foles goes down, so they have solid depth at the QB position. The question is who wins the backup job? Matt Barkley is now 100 percent back from a shoulder injury and will be more comfortable in his second year in the system. I expect to see the youngster unseat Sanchez as the backup.

The Philadelphia Eagles lost their most dynamic playmaker in the passing game when DeSean Jackson was cut from the team. Who will step up this season? It looks like that may fall on the shoulders of Jeremy Maclin.

He perfectly fits this system and, along with Riley Cooper and rookie Jordan Matthews, they will look to collectively make up for the production lost after Jackson's departure.

3. Will Chris Polk Step Up as LeSean McCoy's Backup?

The Philadelphia Eagles traded away the talented Bryce Brown for a future draft pick. This means a lot more carries are coming Chris Polk's way. Can he mirror the production of Brown and be effective in Chip Kelly's offense? That's something to keep an eye on as OTAS unfold.

Marcus Smith is the perfect fit for what Chip Kelly wants from an outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense. He can rush, cover and set the edge in the run game. Smith is a bit raw, but once he gets his feet under him and learns the defense, I believe he will thrive. If Smith is a quick learner and lights it up in training camp and the preseason, he could be starting Week 1.

By now everyone knows about Nick Foles' brilliant 2013 season. His 27 touchdowns to two interceptions were staggering as was his QB rating. The question is how does Foles follow it up? Will the league figure him out or will he continue to thrive and even improve in Chip Kelly's offense?

That's something to watch throughout the summer and during the regular season.
