Bilal Powell is one of the players who are going to have a positional battle for playing time once the regular season starts. With Chris Johnson in town as the New York Jets' primary starter, he'll be going up against Chris Ivory to be his main backup. Take a look at some more positional battles to watch during the Jets' OTAs.

There is no question that WR Stephen Hill hasn't lived up to his true potential, and the clock is ticking. The Jets made sure to stock up on more receivers during the offseason to ensure a much better group this time around. Rookie Shaq Evans has already started to make a name for himself and will surely do his best to move up on the depth chart, even surpassing Hill in the process.

With Eric Decker, Jeremy Kerley and Stephen Hill projected as possible starting wide receivers, watch out for the positional battle between Clyde Gates and David Nelson. Both athletes bring a different approach to the WR position, especially on spread-out formations. Gates is faster, but Nelson has a knack for making key blocks and plays when his number is called. Keep an eye on this one.

3. Geno Smith vs. Michael Vick

The hottest positional battle during OTAs will definitely be at starting quarterback, despite most saying that Geno Smith will be starting come Week 1. Michael Vick is here for a reason and that's to develop Smith to elevate his career towards greatness. Whether Vick will do that on the sideline or under center remains to be seen, but look for Smith to play much more efficiently this time around.

2. Jeff Cumberland vs. Jace Amaro

Tight end Jeff Cumberland is a good athlete, but doesn't have huge playmaking abilities or is considered a true threat on offense. He's alright, but the time has come for the Jets to have a big tight end who reminds many of guys like Jimmy Graham and Rob Gronkowski. Jace Amaro will definitely do his best to make a strong case for starting time, and will work hard to prove he can be the jolt the Jets need on offense.

Strong safety Dawan Landry hasn't been consistent, and the Jets need someone who can help make a difference in their defensive secondary. With most eyes on Smith vs. Vick, this positional battle is one of the most important since defense is what truly wins championships. Look for Bush to give Landry a run for his starting spot since he hits well, has a faster reaction time, and could have a breakout year this season.
