5 Things We've Learned From Chicago's Early OTAs

As OTAs officially get under way for the Chicago Bears, we are able to see how this team will look this fall. With plenty of storylines to follow, here are five things that we have learned so far from OTAs.

The former Heisman Trophy finalist has transitioned well to playing RB after torching the Mid-American Conference as a QB in college. Lynch will have his hands full beating out Michael Ford for the No. 3 RB position, though so far he has proven that he deserved his chance. Lynch has picked up the offensive scheme very quickly and looks very natural running with the ball as well as catching it out of the back-field.

The Bears drafted Fuller in the first round as a CB out of Virginia Tech, though the team already had two starting CBs in Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings. First reports had Fuller filling in at Nickel, though during OTAs the Bears moved Jennings inside to Nickel and had Fuller lined up at CB when they are in their Nickel packages. Jennings will start at CB over Fuller and only switch during their Nickel package.

3. Marquess Wilson Will Be the No. 3 WR

After parting ways with Earl Bennett this offseason, the Bears will look to Marquess Wilson to step in at the No. 3 WR position in 2014. A 2013 7th round pick, Wilson should be a great addition to an already impressive WR group.

2. Shea McClellin Looks Natural As a Linebacker

We got our first look at McClellin playing linebacker after the move from defensive end, and he did not disappoint. The knock on McClellin moving to LB was that he could not drop back in coverage well enough to hold his own in the NFL. So far through OTAs he has looked very natural dropping in coverage and getting off blocks in run support.

The Bears will look to Williams to take over the kick return responsibilities in 2014. Williams was undrafted out of college and spent some time in the CFL where he racked up six return touchdowns and 1,117 punt return yards. Though no one will be able to fill Hester's shoes, Williams could definitely make an impact this season.
