Johnny Manziel hasn't even been part of the NFL for a month, but he's already one of the most popular players in the league. People are drawn to him like no other, which can be a good and bad thing.
Here are five ways you know that Johnny Football's fame is out of control:
Browns RB Ben Tate has come out and said that Manziel's fame is indeed annoying: "It's just as a player I know that I would get tired if people were constantly monitoring if I picked my nose, if I spit to the left or right. I mean, it's annoying. He's a human being."
While this shouldn't be a story -- it is. Manziel was even perplexed by the interest in his Memorial Day weekend trip to Vegas. Well, he better get used to it. If he pans out, the constant attention only figures to get worse.
Never have I ever seen one player get so much attention during OTAs in May and June. What QB competition has ever been won three months before the season started? Furthermore, how much can you really tell about a player during OTAs? We're not even talkin' 'bout practice!
Shortly after being selected by the Browns, Manziel jersey sales exploded. His jersey is the top-seller on NFLShop.com since April 1st.
You know Manziel is a big deal if Browns fans are pumped for the NFL season in June!
But in all seriousness, it's a good thing that Cleveland fans are excited. They should be. That city needs a championship like Kim Kardashian needs a talent.
