The Colts' second-round pick played tackle in college but has played center or guard in the past. It is going to be interesting to see what position he plays for the Colts in 2014. Expect him to be a force in the running game wherever he plays.

4. Delano Howell

Delano Howell is on his way to replacing a fan favorite Antoine Bethea at the free safety position. The Indianapolis Colts are assuming that Howell can replace Bethea against the run and be better than him defending the pass. The Colts are very thin at the safety position, and it’s going to be interesting to keep an eye on Howell throughout the season.

The inside linebacker was brought in to help support the run defense. He is expected to start alongside Jerrell Freeman, and he was decent as a run stopper in Cleveland. Although he is not a natural fit in the Colts' 3-4 defense, that doesn’t mean the Colts can’t find a role for the veteran.

2. Trent Richardson

Trent Richardson is going to be the bell cow running back for this team this year, and many fans are willing to give him a pass for the poor performance in 2013. Richardson has no excuses anymore and has to have a bounce-back year for the Colts' offense to reach elite level. He should be sharper mentally which means that he can play faster without thinking.

Bjoern Werner is getting the first shot at replacing superstar linebacker Robert Mathis. Mathis was the pass rush last year, and if the Colts are going to be successful they have to find ways to get to the quarterback without him. Werner is in his second year, and there are big expectations for him to have an impact not only with the first four games but through the entire season.
